Perpetual adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. In the many churches, including here at St. Mary, that have this adoration, the Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance. People come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day and night.
Christ is present in our chapel and in other like places throughout the world to manifest His great love for us. The Eucharist is the greatest of miracles ever worked by Christ, to perpetuate His passion and sacrifice with us and be specially present to each individual. During the time we have had perpetual adoration at St. Mary we pray that we have shown our continuing love for our Savior in the Blessed Sacrament and desire to continue this adoration for years to come.

Vatican II insists that the Christian life is incomplete if it is not Eucharistic. "Every ministry of the Church and every work of the apostolate are linked with the Holy Eucharist and directed at it. Think of the marvel of this great reality. Christ, the God/Man, is truly present in His divinity as well as His humanity, body and soul.
By spending time with Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament you open your life to many joys, understandings, graces, love, serenity, hope and many feelings you may never anticipate. And by spending this precious time with Jesus, you tell Him that He is most important to you and you love Him. Maybe that's the most important reason to stop by the chapel.
